As first reported by Washingtonian Magazine on Tuesday, April 3, Chef Bryan Voltaggio has closed his restaurant Range. As you are aware, Civil Lounge’s food menu was developed and executed by Range. With the restaurant’s closure, Civil is looking at various food service options and continues to operate as usual.
In the short term we are working with a local shop that has created hand made pepperoni rolls, a Calabrian specialty featuring fresh Italian bread with pepperoni, cheese, peppers and sauce. These will be available daily, along with a vegetarian option, and will be cooked to order. Within the coming weeks we will expand offerings to include locally made charcuterie and cheese boards.
The long term plan is to bring all the food service in-house and create a lounge focused menu that will live up to our slogan: Drink. Smoke. Eat.
We appreciate the continued support and apologize for any inconvenience.
