La Aurora: A Family Legacy Since 1903
La Aurora was founded October 3, 1903 by Eduardo León Jimenes, the hard working son and grandson of tobacco growers. Without neglecting family tradition, he decided to go a step further with the creation of a cigar brand with global appeal. The founder, then only 18 years old, inherited some acres of land and with a roster of only six employees, great enthusiasm and much effort, began to build his dream. Over 112 years later, La Aurora remains family owned and is the country’s oldest cigar factory. The company now has a presence on five continents, 70 countries and more than a 1,000 employees.
